Moment In Time on February 28, 2002 partnered with New York distributor M&L Banks for the rights to sell the film to foreign markets. The deal came just before Moment's east coast premiere at the Angelika Film Center in New York, the mecca for independent filmmaking, as part of its New Filmmakers Series, and a west coast opening at the Los Angeles Italian Film Awards where it won best picture.

Earlier awards from the New York International Film Festival for the two female leads and cinematography and seven nominations, including the best actor award at the B-Movie Festival, joined with the write-ups received in several film magazines have sparked a growing Moment In Time interest. As Noir magazine observed: "Moment In Time is an ambitious, trippy mix of film noir, dream, and myth." Adding to the Angelika's statement that "Moment In Time, is a stunning debut film by writer/director Robert Orlando, combining the angst of psychological filmmaking, Aronofsky-style, with a magic realism, a rare combination."

M. & L. Banks has been distributing to the international market for 10 years, licensing truly independent films for worldwide theatrical, TV and video release. Their library consists of over one hundred (100) films including both features and documentaries. They attend all the major markets: Napte, Berlin, AFM, MIP-TV, Toronto, Mifed and MIP-Com and market films as both "one offs" and as parts of a package, including Alliance, The BBC, ZDF, NHK, SBS, US Cable and many other majors.

This past year, Banks placed films in over 20 festivals. In Dec. they released theatrically "Impure Glance"(Italian) in the US and in the spring will be releasing "Growing Down In Brooklyn", along with "Pink Pumpkins At Dawn" on U.S. video.

Moment In Time will use the new synergy with M&L Banks and added exposure through various film festivals to gain notoriety and seek out more opportunities for sales in U.S markets.
